Discreet shopping includes the package, the payment trail and the data you leave behind. “Discreet delivery” may cover only one of those.
Read the delivery details literally
Check the sender name, outer packaging, tracking notifications and collection options. A neutral box does not guarantee a neutral sender name. If the retailer does not publish these details, ask before ordering. Shared addresses and parcel lockers introduce practical considerations that product specifications do not cover.
Check what appears after payment
Look for billing-descriptor information and whether email receipts use the product name. Consider who can view statements, notifications or shared inboxes. Guest checkout may reduce account creation but does not mean the retailer retains no transaction data. Read the privacy notice for the actual practice.
Review returns before breaking the seal
Hygiene-sealed items can have restrictions once opened. Understand the difference between a defect claim, a change-of-mind return and a trial guarantee. Save the policy that applied when you ordered. If privacy is essential, ask how support requests and return labels identify the purchase.
Private browsing does not hide a purchase from a retailer, payment provider or anyone with access to the relevant accounts.
